Meet our new Superintendent

The Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. Jason Bullock the Superintendent of Schools. The board unanimously approved Dr. Bullock during their May 13 meeting after a 21-day waiting period required by the state.

Board President Gary Blizzard said, “The Board is excited to name Dr. Bullock our new Magnolia ISD Superintendent. Dr. Bullock will continue to lead the district for many years to come. He has the heart of a teacher and will keep the main thing, the main thing.”

Dr. Bullock will replace Dr. Todd Stephens, who retired after serving as Magnolia ISD’s Superintendent since 2009. Dr. Bullock has served as the Deputy Superintendent since 2020 after joining the district as Assistant Superintendent for Administration in 2012. Over that time, Dr. Bullock’s responsibilities have included hiring and supervising campus and district administrators, developing district policy, and coordinating major district initiatives.
