Welcome to Crossroads, a highlight of the amazing people which make up the town surrounding Kresston by Johnson Development. At Crossroads, we're bridging the gap between community and development.
The community of Magnolia is my home. I grew up here. I moved here 50 years ago, came back after college and this is where I wanted to stay and this is where I wanted to work.
I would describe the the heart of Magnolia as community involvement. I think when people are moving here as we're growing, people get involved with the community, get involved with the schools, and I think that's what we want as a community and we want more involvement. We want everybody to be a part of it.
Community outreach in law enforcement is a big thing. Precinct 5 is is always out in the community. You want to be open to them. You want to be able to be out there talking to them. We're at just about every event somehow doing something. So, a lot of the school events we cook for them every year.
In the schools, we do a a food drive- the classroom that gets the most food and cans donated for SOS. I supply a pizza party for that room. We have deputies in all the all the schools. It gives the whole community that sense of "hey, law enforcement's here to help."
So, the one thing I'd like everybody to know about Precinct 5's office from the top all the way down to the bottom- We like to hire people that that care about this community that that want to go out and do the right thing. So everybody moving to Magnolia, I just want to welcome everybody to the community. I hope you get involved. If you need anything, you can reach out to your local council's office and we'll help you in any way we can.
My name is Constable Chris Jones and this is Crossroads.
