Summer is almost here and so are summer camps. Whether your kid loves art, music sports or animals, there is something near Kresston for your child.

Magnolia ISD Adventures
9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday, June 2-July 25
Ages 5-12
$160 per camper per week

Weekly themed camps for students enrolled in Magnolia ISD schools offer fun for everyone. Campers will have opportunities to craft, engage in STEM activities, swim, take field trips and more. 

Dance Connections
Days and times vary, June 9-July 28
Ages 3 and up
$50-$135 per camp

Kids can explore the world of ballet, jazz and hip hop while having fun and sprucing up their technique. Single-day and week-long camps available.

Alodia Basketball Academy
8:30 a.m.-noon & 1-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, June 2-July 28
Grades K-8
$155 half day, $245 full day

Camps designed by ex-Division 1 college players will inspire players on and off the courts. Programs will focus on dribbling, shooting, footwork and more. Campers must bring their own basketballs.

Black Cat Theater and Academy
Days and times vary, June 9-Aug. 1
Grades K-12
$90-$400 per camp

Young thespians can gain confidence when treading the boards at a variety of camps designed to hone their acting chops. Summer stock (by audition only) and weeklong camps devoted to finetune skills, musical theater and more will provide opportunities to have fun and make friends.  

Bucketology
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 9-July
Grades 2-5
$99-$225 per session

Boys and girls will hone basketball skills while making friends and helping each other grow at these weekly camps.

Camp Lone Star
8:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 2-July 18
Ages 7-11
$375 per week

Christ-centered weekly day camps include Bible study, games, hiking, swimming, crafts and more.

Cypress Academy The Woodlands
9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 9-July 28
Ages 4-14
$230 per week

Kids can explore their inner gymnast or prepare for American Ninja, Kids’ Edition, at these challenging camps that include open gym, splash days, games and more.

Friends of Texas Wildlife
10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, June 2-16
Ages 7-12
$150 per week

Campers will have fun learning about wildlife as they explore animal artifacts, meet live education ambassadors, create crafts and play games.

KMR Equestrian Summer Camp
9 a.m-2 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, June 3-July 22
Ages 7-16
$700 per session

Riders of all levels will improve their horsemanship and skills as well as learn from farriers, veterinarians and an equine chiropractor. There will also be crafts, games, water balloon fights and ice cream parties.

Lazy Acres
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, through Aug. 8
Grades K-8
$245 per week

Christian summer camp that includes eight unique and exciting themed weeks, fishing, swimming, inflatables and more.

Teora Music School Summer Jam Camp
9 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 2-Aug. 1
Ages 7 and up
$375 per week

Young musicians can jam all summer at weekly music camps where they will hone their ability to discern balance and timing while also gaining insight into instrumentation, arrangement, recording, and live performance. Each camp is limited to five students.

Texas Star Gymnastics
Days and times vary, through Aug. 11
Ages 3-15
$50

Campers will experience the world of gymnastics, tumbling and ninja each day while participating in classes and playing games as well as spending some time on the trampoline, tumble track and loose-foam pit.

Paint & Bubbles Studio
Days and times vary, through July 31
Ages 6-12
$300 per week

A variety of camps will teach kids to draw, paint and craft.
